ACT 1
Act one of my painting career was an obsessive time exploring the ordinary and everyday suburban landscape. The work was minimal, abstracted and a little heavy in approach and attitude.

ACT 2
Act two began in 2010 when I became a full-time parent and caregiver. I had to reconfigure what was possible as an artist and I made art was simpler and quicker. There was still a fascination with the ordinary and everyday but made with a lighter approach.

ACT 3
Act 3 is just beginning. I am rekindling old ideas with new techniques and beliefs. The work has a more colorful and playful approach that feels lighter. They are made with a different and more curious look at the world.
